Graduate Admissions Services Specialist
The George Mason University College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) is seeking a Graduate Admissions Services Specialist, supporting the CHSSâ€™s Graduate Admissions Coordinator primarily and also working closely with the central Mason Office of Graduate Admissions, and CHSS academic unit directors, faculty and coordinators. Responsibilities: * Work with the CHSS Admissions Coordinator on all issues related to graduate admissions processing and training using the customer relations management (CRM) systems needed for graduate application processing; * Communicate with prospective applicants via phone, e-mail and in-person, and provide outstanding customer service in an effort to increase yield rate; * Plan, coordinate and represent the college at on-campus and external graduate fairs and recruiting events; and * Update CHSS admissions Web site content.
Required Qualifications: * Applicants should be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, with extreme attention to detail; * Self-disciplined and able to work independently as well as part of a team; and * This position requires the incumbent to be tech savvy, with the ability to quickly learn the CRM and to participate in creating business procedures that support the university and college mission.
Preferred Qualifications: * A bachelorâ€™s degree; * Demonstrated experience in admissions, recruitment or in an academic environment; and * Evidence of interest in and familiarity with the academic fields within CHSS.
