Job Description:

We are seeking a Financial Program Analyst based in Washington DC. The analyst will be responsible for financial monitoring and reporting support for advising and testing programs at HQ and in field offices. As the Analyst, you will review and interpret the CostPoint and COGNOS financial and analysis reports for testing and advising programs. Your responsibilities will include the following,

Responsibilities

  • You will prepare and review annual budget for advising and testing programs, revise throughout the year and assist with preparation of proposal budgets
  • Manage historical and project-based financial analysis and make recommendations to support decisions in contract negotiation, pricing, and other areas
  • Prepare and submit Sales Tracker reports and submit monthly forecasts to Educational Testing Service (ETS)Global as well as write communications for internal and external clients
  • Create charts and reports illustrating testing sales and trends over time, in coordination with financial planning & analysis staff
  • Make analytical presentations on advising and testing trends at HQ and in the field offices as well as provide project coding for credit card and other sales
  • Review statistics on test administrations and provide coding for invoices as well as and interpret the financial and analysis reports for our department
  • Work with CostPoint and Excel to do financial billing, invoicing, revenue recognition, and reconciliation 
  • Perform other tasks as may be required from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 
  • 2+ year’s relevant full-time work experience related to accounting, financial analysis, and/or budgeting
  • Experience with financial software; Deltek CostPoint experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of educational advising services and standardized English language and workforce assessment tools and tests
  • Advance experience with Excel spreadsheets and charts for financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting purposes
