The IAM National Pension Fund is conducting a search for a Pension processor for the Pension Department.  The desired candidate will be responsible for applying the rules of the National Pension Plan, Merged Plans and other Plans administered by the National Pension Plan as well as regulations, policies and procedures to:

•         Analyze eligibility

•         Perform research

•         Verify employment

•         Calculate benefits

•         Communicate effectively

•         Prepare BTM write-ups

•         Prepare calculation letters

The position requires an intense 90-day training process with the candidate demonstrating that they have learned the materials and will be able to process applications thoroughly and accurately with attention to details; ensuring that all research is performed and all data is available to pay benefits. The candidate will be required to compose letters, maintain precise follow up procedures, use available sources for appropriate verification, adhere to procedures and exhibit excellent customer service skills.  Candidates must have the flexibility to work independently or with a team.   The suitable candidate will be required to provide effective, efficient, courteous, friendly service to all Participants, Beneficiaries, Union Representatives, Employers, service providers and fellow employees. Other duties may include:

•         Reviewing applications for revision

•         Ordering supplies

•         Preparing reports

•         Leading a project

•         Logging information

•         Update Pension data in Pension Information system

•         Testing calculations

College degree or comparable work experience, strong analytical, writing and math skills are required.  This is union position at the grade level V.
