General Dynamics Information Technology has an exciting opportunity for you to be included in our key personnel as a PLOPS Manager for our intended proposal on the Range Engineering Technical Services currently under the RTS Contract on Kwajalein. 

The mission of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site (RTS) is to provide a Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB) activity on Kwajalein Atoll & Wake Island to support Theater and Strategic Ballistic Missiles/Missile Intercepts, NASA Space Ops and STRATCOM Space Surveillance.  The contract mission includes research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) efforts for on-site and off-site engineering, technical support services, and materials required to operate, maintain, analyze, and modify the RTS instrumentation and related support systems.

In this role, your responsibilities will be to:

    Lead the PLOPS Engineering Group responsible for the test planning and mission execution of RTS customer test operations. Facilitate O&Mof the Range Operations Control - Huntsville (ROC-H) and Kwajalein Mission Control Center (KMCC). Issue and deconflict operational and mission test schedules. Reports to the General Dynamics Information Technology RTS Program Manager, and has the authority to plan, organize, and staff the PLOPS Engineering Group. Delegate authority to the lowest possible level within the group to empower qualified employees to make decisions and solve problems. Directs department personnel issues including hiring, firing, evaluations and disciplinary actions, and signs for material purchases. Ensures operational readiness of ROC-H and KMCC to provide mission support and day-to-day operations support for RTS. Ensures accurate and timely completion of maintenance activities. Assigns Mission Test Directors to each mission and assigns planning engineers to support RTS IPTs. Additional duties as identified and assigned.
Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of directly related experience managing engineering operations.

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

    An active Top Secret clearance.Minimum eight to ten years’ experience in the areas of responsibilities described.Five to seven years’ operational mission planning experience.Universal Documentation System process experience desirable.Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
This position is contingent upon contract award and government clearance, if required.  This position may ultimately be fulfilled by a General Dynamics Information Technology teammate.
