General Dynamics Information Technology has an exciting opportunity for you to be included in our key personnel as a Range Instrumentation Site Manager for our intended proposal on the Range Engineering Technical Services currently under the RTS Contract on Kwajalein. 

The mission of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site (RTS) is to provide a Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB) activity on Kwajalein Atoll & Wake Island to support Theater and Strategic Ballistic Missiles/Missile Intercepts, NASA Space Ops and STRATCOM Space Surveillance.  The contract mission includes research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) efforts for on-site and off-site engineering, technical support services, and materials required to operate, maintain, analyze, and modify the RTS instrumentation and related support systems.

*This position requires an Active Top Secret Clearance*

In this role, your responsibilities will be to:


    Provide RTS Director with on-site technical point of contact for all RTS engineering and technical support functions. Report to the General Dynamics Information Technology RTS Program Manager, and has the authority to provide resources for the successful operations and maintenance of radar, optics and telemetry groups. Advise RTS management on sensor operational issues. Work closely with the Instrumentation Department managers to support and fix problems at the sensors, perform maintenance, and/or complete missions. Schedule sensor modification requests to fix operational problems and increase capability to meet mission requirements. Direct department personnel issues including hiring, firing, evaluations and disciplinary actions, and signs for material purchases. In association with the PM, plan, organize and staff the organization. Recruit personnel. Ensure training and cross training of personnel, and professional advancement opportunities for each employee. Assist PM to manage the department budget, cost schedule and performance. Provide briefings and technical support to RTS management as required. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, and five to seven years’ technical experience.Additional duties as identified and assigned.
Education Masters Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Qualifications 10-15 years of related engineering experience.


To be successful in this role you will need:

    An active Top Secret clearance.Minimum twelve number years’ experience in the areas of responsibilities described.Five to seven years’ technical experience.Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.

This position is contingent upon contract award and government clearance, if required.  This position may ultimately be fulfilled by a General Dynamics Information Technology teammate.
