Job Description Leasing Consultant Job Requirements: Handle all aspects of leasing and marketing apartment community Greet and build rapport with prospective residents Answer incoming phone calls and handle accordingly Follow up with prospects Professionally present community and take every prospective resident on a tour route showing the apartments and amenities Process applications-screen all incoming residents by objective qualification standards Adhere to all fair housing laws Prepare all lease paperwork accurately and ensure new residents sign all lease related documents Consistently practice effective leasing and closing techniques Provide a daily inspection of apartments and model appearance Maintain activity reports by recording traffic daily Assist with coordination of and participate in resident functions Work with maintenance to ensure apartment turnovers are completed in a timely manner Handle or assist in the process of responding to service request Perform all other duties assigned by the Community Manager/Director of Property Management Must adhere to and comply with all established company safety policies and rules Periodically tour competitive properties and maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends Initiate and participate in outreach activities Assume responsibility to generate prospect traffic Post vacant unit listings to ILS on a daily basis Must be able to work weekends Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Superior verbal and written communication skills are required Computer proficiency and knowledge of property management software Must possess valid driver's license Must be an energetic team player with 1-3 experience years of apartment leasing and/or sales experience
