Electrical Field Engineer
Job Description Provide leadership for the safety, accident prevention, and fire prevention programs on the project. Use PSC software to manage data and document deliverable requirements. Determine manpower, tools, rental equipment, PSC equipment and material requirements for the electrical craft. Coordinate construction activities with other disciplines and client's representative as instructed by construction management. Keeping up with new and revised changes on drawings as issued thru engineering group. Perform material takeoffs, generation requisitions for pricing and order material. Generate Field PO's in Viewpoint System and approvals in PValut. Generate and track field requisition and PO log. Work with Superintendent and engineering on E&I field issues and get them resolved. Ensure the most current design documentation, (Drawings specifications, standards, etc, are being utilized to complete work activities. Generate and manage field RFI's and RFI log. General EWO's for any out of scope work and maintain extra work order log. Work with Superintendent on daily quantities sheets, managing and updating daily quantity tracking sheets. Report quantitie to Project Manager for weekly productivity updates. Monitor actual work performance compared to the project budget and schedule. Generate master office set of redlines to end of project for turnover. Work with Superintendent on weekly schedule updates. Work with material control person on weekly material inventory list to assure we do not run out of material. Set up and manage Cable Reel Log for all cable updates on received and quantities used form start to finish. Help setup and develop construction work packages. Inspect installation quality. Walk down work packages and verify installation is installed per drawings and specifications before closing out 100% and ready for turnover.
