Privacy and Compliance Specialist
Job Description SUMMARY : The Privacy and Compliance Specialist shall perform monitoring of the privacy monitoring tool. Conduct analysis and provide reporting to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA) management. WORK LOCATION: Rockville, MD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Develop recommendations, reports, and possesses the ability to schedule and execute projects. Responsible for completing and maintaining PIAs on all systems (developmental and operational). Perform monitoring of the privacy monitoring tool (RSA and Archer) and conduct analysis. Apply Federal Healthcare privacy requirements for protecting information subject to the Privacy Act. Process PIAs and SORN notices. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience/Education Minimum of five (5) years of experience within Privacy and Compliance. Solid understanding of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), NIST and Federal privacy laws (eg Privacy Act of 1974, HIPPA, etc.). Certified in Healthcare Compliance or Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance is preferred. Preferred experience with Department of Technology Management (DTM) Organization Cybersecurity Program. Experience with Microsoft Office. SECURITY CLEARANCE: Not required.
