Bankruptcy Secretarial Assistant
Job Description Reston law firm seeks a high-energy assistant to support the busy law practice of three shareholders and two paralegals. The person hired for this position will assist with the chapter 7 trustee practice of one of the shareholders and provide support for a commercial bankruptcy practice. Experience in a full service bankruptcy practice, including litigation experience and familiarity with the court's ECF procedures, is preferred though not required. Professionalism, resourcefulness, a strong work ethic, and the ability to contribute in a team-oriented practice area are essential. The successful candidate must exhibit attention to detail, possess strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral), and have strong interpersonal skills. This position requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. In addition, experience with bankruptcy software and an ability to learn other software programs is a plus. Applicant must be a self-starter, dependable, and able to multi-task.
