Vencore is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledResponsibilities:Responsible for maintaining and upgrading Microsoft SharePoint systems at Navy customer site in support of collaboration and document control/dissemination activities. Maintains data files and control procedures for a complex system of networked computers. Assigns passwords, and monitors use of resources, and responds to management requests for information. Performs a variety of routine tasks, including backing up database files, installing and configuring required software, applying software updates, and reviewing and modifying user permissions as needed. Works closely with customer staff to identify and implement enhancements and fixes to legacy SharePoint interfaces and databases. Creates Web front-end user interface and modifies data interfaces to new or existing databases using a combination of HTML, SQL, .NET, VBScript or other languages to make business applications accessible. Develops Web portals allowing users to input and retrieve accurate information.Requires Associates or Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field), and four to six years of related experience. US citizenship required. Active DoD security clearance (Secret or above) is required. Experience and skill in software and web development including Microsoft SharePoint, .NET, VBScript, Java, Microsoft SQL and structured computer programming, software application design, implementation, and troubleshooting, . Must be knowledgeable of computer systems and networks. Must have good oral and written communication skills for interacting with system users and determining and documenting user requirements. Must be experienced in working with relational databases writing complex SQL queries. CompTIA Security+ certification required. Server operating system training is desirable. Ability to obtain certification as Information Assurance Technician, Level 2.
