Senior Management Analyst - Anticipated
Overview:The Senior Management Analyst supports the efforts of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) for the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE). This position works with the Program Manager to analyze, measure and evaluate how well objectives and management goals are being achieved. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Recommends corrective actions and measures to be taken. Ascertains process improvement objects for corrective action measures.Studies proposed legislation and/or regulations that may impact decisions.Researches current or new management practices for application to programs or operations. Serves as an advisor and "go to" resource as to quality audits and methods of improvement. Ensures performed work aligns with established policies, processes and procedures.Facilitates discussions and meetings. Develops new or modified systems and procedures and provides documentation, orientation and/or training.Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEMust have relevant education and administrative support experience as specified below, or equivalent combination of education / experience. BS or BA in Business Management, Public Affairs, Political Economy, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Computer Science, or other appropriate discipline. Experience managing a cross functional team, subtasks, budget and schedule.
