Sila seeks an experienced Hadoop developer who holds a minimum TS SCI with CI Polygraph to join our federal team in Northern Virginia. Your Focus: Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems. Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Manage IT systems infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems. Install/load operating system and application software. Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof. Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Your Background: Experience with Hadoop Cluster Installation and Administration, including how clusters will handle disk and machine failures, the analysis of logging configurations and logging configuration file formats, the basics of Hadoop metrics and cluster health monitoring, and the purpose of available tools for cluster monitoring, and the components and daemon (ie service agent) of an HDFS HA-Quorum cluster. Experience installing the ecosystem components in the Cloudera (CDH), including: HDFS, Impala, Spark, Flume, Oozie, Hue, Cloudera Manager, Sqoop, Hive, and Pig. Knowledge of Hadoop resource management, including how the FIFO Scheduler allocates cluster resources, the Fair Scheduler allocates cluster resources under YARN, and the Capacity Scheduler allocates cluster resources. Experience with monitoring and logging Hadoop deployments using its metrics collection capabilities. Experience analyzing the health of a Hadoop deployments using NameNode and JobTracker Web UIs and the ability to monitor cluster daemons, identify and monitor CPU usage on master nodes, monitor swap and memory allocation on all nodes, and identify and interpret Hadoop s log files. Experience in Hadoop Cluster Planning, including the selection of hardware and operating systems to host an Apache Hadoop cluster, identifying hardware configuration appropriate for different workload pattern. Knowledge of Hadoop kernel tuning and disk swapping. Knowledge of cluster sizing for different Hadoop workloads, including CPU, memory, storage disk I/O. Knowledge of Disk Sizing and Configuration, including BOJD versus RAID, SANs, virtualization and disk sizing requirements in a cluster. Highly Desired Certification: Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH).
