About the Opportunity Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) is seeking a full time Windows Systems Engineer with a solid background in Information Assurance/Cybersecurity to provide IT infrastructure support in the Arlington, VA area. The Windows System Engineer will work with the Lead Systems Engineer and others to provide end-to-end engineering, management and administration support for PEO EIS systems in support of DMI's Technical Integration Management Support Systems (TIMSS) contract. Support includes but is not limited to the implementation of new system releases/updates, support for testing activities, troubleshooting outages within test and production environments, scanning and patching systems and documentation production. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as a technical advisor to the Project Director (PD) in the selection of hardware, software, and architecture solutions for Windows systems & servers Engineer solutions to new functionality implementation, security requirements within the restrictions of the Army network architecture Create, restore, administer, and configure Windows Hyper-V virtual machines to support the Windows production, testing, and training environments Provide technical oversight and Tier II/III problem resolution for Windows hardware and software environments Assist with Windows systems administration functions Resolve tickets assigned to Windows Tier II Maintain Windows servers as needed to ensure optimal performance Coordinate downtime for system upgrades, testing and fielding activities Maintain software configuration baselines for the Windows production, training, and testing environments Implement Interim Change Packages (ICPs) Build, install and configure VEEAM backup and replication Conduct and remediate Windows Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and NESSUS system scans Configure ACAS (Security Center) and NESSUS to manage Windows server patches Deploy SCAP (Security Content Automation Protocol) on all Windows servers to comply with security STIGS Education and Years of Experience: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 5+ years experience as a Systems Administrator (Intermediate to Senior Level) DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II compliant Required Skills/ Certifications: Secret/SSBI clearance DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II compliant Security + CE Certification MCSA Certification (MCSE preferred) 5+ Years Experience designing, implementing and maintaining Windows Server 2003 or later systems 5+ years Intermediate level understanding of Network engineering (VLANS, traffic optimization, etc.) 5+ years working in a VMWare Environment 5+ years troubleshooting application, hardware, and storage environments and infrastructure Advanced Systems/software engineering experience with scripting abilities Planning, deployment, and operational use of Security Center with Nessus, and Passive Vulnerability Scanner (PVS) Experience in Data Security, security center scanning, running network and credential scans, vulnerability analysis, PVS Vulnerability and Event Analysis, Compliance Audits, and Security Center Roles Desired Skills/ Certifications: ITIL v3 Foundation Certification HBSS or ArcSight administration experience Microsoft SCCM experience Advanced proficiency in Windows operating systems Advanced proficiency in server virtualization VMWare Strong organizational skills Client focus a must Ability to work in a team environment with other SMEs of different technical backgrounds Proficiency in industry standard Microsoft desktop applications Knowledge of and experience with BMC Remedy Knowledge of running DISA STIGs on Window servers Ability to create and maintain a STIGed baseline OS for system Installations Physical Requirement(s): Ability to lift and move 50 lbs of equipment Additional Requirements: Occasional travel may be required locally on an as needed basis Location: 2530 Crystal Drive (Taylor Building), Arlington, VA 22202 Working at DMI DMI is a diverse, prosperous and rewarding place to work.
