Basic Qualifications : BA and MBA degree in business administration, marketing or related fields . 12+ years of successful marketing experience in DoD/IC/Fed/Civ a plus. 3 years of previous success implementing value added marketing functions in the Cyber and Defense markets. Experience developing and executing product business growth strategies for DoD/IC/FED/CIV or similar markets. Ability to meet classified customers requiring Top Secret Access. Demonstrable ability to build and inspire high performance marketing teams. 8+ years management and organizational development experience. Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning and strategic skills Excellent written and verbal communications skills Solid understanding of financial business models, budgeting and financial management. This job operates in a professional office environment. 30% plus travel required. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS security clearance at time of hire. Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a US government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Responsibilities for this Position: General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a passionate, product oriented, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the newly formed Cyber and Electronic Warfare Systems (CEWS or "Qs") line of business. He/She will be an outwardly focused executive focusing on: Understanding and reacting to the rapidly changing cyber security and electronics warfare markets, Experience developing a world class product marketing organization Leading the positioning of Qs products and supporting the development of product and pricing strategies Identifying addressable and available markets and determining time-to-market requirements Implement a robust marketing analytics process that delivers an accurate portrayal of current and future Qs product markets Charting the direction of Qs brand and marketing strategy He/She will report to the VP of Marketing and Sales of Qs, and work with the Director of Sales to define and execute short- and long-term marketing development strategies. This is a strategic leadership role, and he/she will have responsibility for establishing, nurturing, and developing the team, budget, strategic initiatives, and performance of the commercial functions. As such, the CMO partners with Qs management team to ensure the best possible service and effective communications to internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES STRATEGY & EXECUTION Develop the strategic marketing vision, chart the course for the future of Qs as it relates to the brand, market positioning, messaging, and lead generation. Provide the tactical marketing execution and leadership necessary to ensure that Qs capitalizes on strategic business opportunities Institute a marketing metric and analytic process supporting Qs' effective target marketing effort. Develop a concept of operation and approach that analyzes addressable Q's markets and works in partnership with product development to identify business opportunities that are relevant to current and future Qs products Support product development with ongoing market and competitive data analysis and profiling as well as providing guidance on product features and functionality (MVP capabilities). Work with the LOB VP and the VP M&S to develop a pricing strategy for setting product pricing Research and monitor the technological, demographic and financial shifts in the global information security industry in order for Qs to capitalize on market opportunities. Create and communicate a crisp, clear, consistent and compelling message that establishes GD Mission Systems Qs brand identity. Create campaigns and programs that drive Qs market share growth, position and differentiation in the industry Build and execute a long-term strategy for generating inbound leads via content marketing and social media marketing Leverage GDMS resources and infrastructure to create an integrated digital marketing strategy that maximizes the value of all outbound communications and promotional initiatives (including websites, blogs, trade shows, search, online advertising, print advertising, sales support materials and client/sales messaging) to ensure these messages are consistent with the GDMS and Qs brand RESEARCH / KNOWLEDGE / ANALYSIS Product pricing and launch strategies Research and monitor the technological, demographic and financial shifts in the global information security industry in order for Qs to capitalize on market opportunities. Build and execute a long-term strategy for generating inbound leads via content marketing and social media marketing Manage the content and flow of all outbound communications and promotional initiatives (including websites, blogs, trade shows, search, online advertising, print advertising, sales support materials and client/sales messaging) to ensure these messages are consistent with the Qs' brand MARKETING Identifying new business targets, market trends, and products while maintaining post-sale and long-term client relationships. Create campaigns and programs that drive Qs market share growth, position and differentiation in the industry Develop marketing campaigns to support and grow multiple channel selling strategies. Effectively communicate with Industry Leadership and business owners in order to establish strong cohesive business relationships. Create a unique and sustainable market position to meet and/or exceed revenue targets Maintain a network of industry contacts, maintaining a strong knowledge of competitor offerings A demonstrable capability of successfully integrating a digital media marketing capability MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement. Proven ability to motivate a dispersed team and forge productive working relationships with a broad range of personality types and work-styles, internally and externally. Manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department. Directs marketing staff in the effective use and development of business plans and strategies. Ensure communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirement. Ensure services comply with professional and company policy standard.
