Requisition Number 17-0298 Post Date 6/8/2017 Title Property Tax Administrator City Sparks State MD Position Type Full-Time Description Responsibilities: Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions Prepares, state, or local tax returns for business establishments by performing various duties Examines accounts and records and computes taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations Completes forms for tax refunds Advises management regarding effects of business activities on taxes, and on strategies for minimizing tax liability Ensures the organization complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements Organizes and maintains tax records and conducts tax studies and special projects Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma. Associates degree strongly preferred. 1-2 years business experience with a basic knowledge of accounting preferred. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work successfully in a team environment. Excellent PC skills including MS Word and Excel.
