Regional Supervisor - Manassas, VA
The Regional Supervisor has responsibility and accountability for managing the execution of all product demonstration activities for his/her group of assigned stores. The Regional Supervisor is responsible for managing adequate staffing in each store to satisfy demand, effectively scheduling staff on a weekly basis to execute at a minimum of 98% of assigned demos, maintaining adequate supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring timely completion of all post-event recaps and consistently meeting/exceeding event sales targets. S/he will need to develop strong, positive working relationships with internal and external clients, including store leadership, and provide feedback on retail conditions, opportunities, and issues within their assigned stores. The Regional Supervisor will fully own all activities scheduled in his/her assigned stores including hiring, training, coaching Brand Ambassadors to effectively engage with consumers and enthusiastically sell the products being sampled. S/he will enforce processes that ensure efficient operations and alignment across the organization. Business Context Key Challenges/Major Business Issues The Regional Supervisor is charged with maintaining a 98% event execution rate and maximizing the effectiveness of demo sales efforts for their assigned stores. Challenges also include rapidly changing conditions such as staffing levels, event volume and product demonstrations types, managing a remote workforce effectively, and balancing conflicting requirements of multiple internal and external stakeholders. Duties, Responsibilities and Expected Contributions Business/Functional Results Directs all activities involved in executing successful events in assigned stores; manages either remotely or onsite, as needed, a group of Brand Ambassadors to deliver product demonstrations Reviews and analyzes various event performance metrics, including execution rates and sales performance, and makes adjustments, as necessary, to improve team performance Maintains correct inventory of supplies, carts/tables and cooking equipment/utensils in assigned stores; monitors condition of equipment to ensure event execution Optimizes customer satisfaction/loyalty through execution of quality events and efficient operations Managing Execution Ensures effective staffing levels are maintained to deliver scheduled events Schedules/reschedules Brand Ambassadors to cover planned events; maintaining execution rate of 98% or better Ensures operating procedures are followed and quality of events meets established standards; audits assigned stores for compliance to operational and safety procedures and protocols Analyzes post event recaps for quality, completeness, accuracy Manages the reconciliation process for all events occurring in assigned stores including payroll, event recaps and expense submission Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities, deadlines, demands and assignments while maintaining cohesive and harmonious relationships Generating Talent Sources and hires Brand Ambassadors for assigned stores Trains, manages and coaches performance of Brand Ambassadors Recognizes and develop skills and abilities of the Brand Ambassadors and provides leadership for assigned territory Follows established practices for associate management, including recruiting, hiring, training, disciplining, evaluating and terminating Brand Ambassadors Managing Relationships Establishes and maintains positive store manager and department manager relationships. Manages productive, collaborative peer relationships; forms solid working relationships with Interactions leadership Attends high profile customer events, interacts with customer leadership and supplier representatives This position works from a home office with frequent travel to assigned store locations. Standard work week is Thursday through Monday. Travel by car is expected 40-60% of time. Position Requirements: Experience Required High school GED Minimum of 2 years management experience Preferred retail-related supervisory experience Functional Knowledge and Business Expertise Required Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product Accountable for specific performance Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Able to handle multiple tasks with a sense of urgency Ability to build rapport and credibility with broad base of stakeholders Able to maintain confidential information Proficient in Microsoft Suite products and ability to use Enterprise-wide systems NEHA Professional Food Handler Certification required (?)
