Maximize company sales growth and profitability by leading the store sales team in delivering an engaging experience to every customer, every time. Maximize sales floor coverage being sensitive to productivity in all areas of the store. Lead by example and maintain a sense of professionalism at all times. Lead the sales team to achieve and maintain store sales and service goals and standards. Manage all aspects of performance and development of the sales team to encourage professional growth. Provide specific feedback about performance directly to associates and share observations with the general manager. Conduct regular developmental conversations and meetings with designated sales associates and create individual development plans. Train and develop sales associates in all operations, sales skills, customer service skills and product knowledge. Assist with the training of new and seasonal sales associates at the time of hire and ongoing. Support the hiring process of sales associates, as directed by the general manager. Prepare and conduct timely performance appraisals for designated sales associates. Demonstrate company standards in selling, customer service, visual merchandising and teamwork. In coordination with the merchandising manager, ensure product on the sales floor is stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase. Assist the general manager with creating and maintaining the store budget, and develop a thorough understanding of payroll and scheduling, as well as a strong awareness of controllable costs. Ensure the store Point of Sale (POS) system and related equipment is in working order and act as a liaison to necessary parties if service or assistance is needed. Maintain an awareness of all product information and product status, intranet communications, and current advertising and marketing initiatives and communicate all pertinent information to store associates. Meet customer expectations by utilizing all resolution options, as outlined in the company customer service standards. Support and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and company to both internal and external customers in all forms of communication. Communicate regularly with the store management team concerning all aspects of sales, training opportunities, customer reaction, traffic on the sales floor and sales associates performance. Communicate effectively and efficiently with all company associates in both written and verbal form. Conduct and facilitate daily morning huddles, weekend meeting and end-of-day sales recap discussions with sales associates. Promote a strong sense of teamwork by working together safely, effectively, respectfully and efficiently with all associates. Participate in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems.
