About the Opportunity Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) is seeking a full time ASP.NET Application Developer who will participate in the development, installation and maintenance of software for an Army program in the Arlington, VA area. The Application Developer will work within an integrated team environment to provide software engineering support services required to modernize legacy PHP based web applications in support of DMI's Technical Integration Management Support Systems (TIMSS) contract. Support includes but is not limited to the implementation of new software releases/updates, support for testing activities, and troubleshooting software issues within test and production environments. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining custom applications for customers and internal business systems Responsible for various phases of software development, including design, implementation, integration, unit testing, revision control, release and maintenance Design and maintain online applications using C#, .NET, PHP and Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures and functions. Write and implement queries / views / procedures in database systems Responsible for the entire lifecycle of the database implementation, including the design of highly available solution and tuning the implementation to maximize the capacity and performance of the database. Monitor and tune Oracle databases for optimum performance and assist in capacity planning of Oracle database servers. Deep knowledge of Relational Database design and analysis and must be proficient in SQL. Assist in the setup of production environment including application servers and database servers. Assist in the implementation of applications into production. Develop, review, test, troubleshoot and refine system and software requirements with internal and external customers Perform requirements capture and specification; feasibility, concept proving and prototyping; and design, code, test, debug, configure, maintain and document software Coordinate with other staff to ensure that the direction of software design meets customer requirements Create design documentation for software Create formal test documentation for software Support deployed systems by analyzing and fixing software related issues Education and Years of Experience: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 5+ years experience as an applications developer Required Skills/ Certifications: Secret Clearance Strong C#, ASP.NET Oracle PL/SQL Oracle BI Publisher IIS - Internet Information Services, setup, configurations, fine tuning HTML, XML, PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, Web Application Development, Load Balancing, SQL, .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework, ASMX and WCF Web Services, and ADO.NET.
