We are currently searching for a Director of Food & Beverage Programs who will direct all activities and be measured on the results of successful food and beverage rollouts, management of programs, high standards of food & beverage quality and service, a superior customer experience, and revenues and profit margins in assigned stores.Develops and maintains a clear and consistent vision for the evolution and changes of food and beverage program concepts in alignment with overall business priorities and long-term growth objectives.Leads food and beverage program innovation and development in alignment with Dash In's existing and future strategic initiativesManages financial, reporting and operational aspects of the food and beverage program, including profit and loss, menu development, purchasing, category management, inventory and resource allocation of team members both at corporate and site level.Champions ongoing review and adaptation of new product offering and market-leading concepts through insights into consumer trends and assessment of the strengths and risks posed by current or potential competitors.Responsible for development, implementation, measurement and ongoing execution of food service delivery standards and procedures, ensuring ongoing consistency and excellence in all food and beverage related activities.Responsible for developing ongoing food service related training programs in support of corporate, safety, quality and brand standards.Overall accountability for the day to day management of the food and beverage team including site level, field and corporate roles.Analyzes and interprets category financial sales data to make informative decisions related to category performance, market basket analysis, menu/product changes or removals, pricing strategies and promotional programs.Develops menu and program proposals with category team for executive approval using product testing, sales projections, and consumer insights while prioritizing approachability and relevance of products key to Dash In's core conceptWorks with marketing and product suppliers to develop food and beverage innovation for permanent menu items/category enhancements and limited time promotional offers.Spearheads technology based decisions with other stakeholders to improve execution of category programs such as nutritional compliance, kitchen production systems, temperature monitoring, inventory and merchandising management.Collaborates on proforma projections for profit & ROI's of new store builds & remodels.Leads negotiations on contracts, back-end rebates and marketing funds with vendors/suppliers and nurtures collaborative partnerships to drive the Dash In brand.Coordinates and conducts food showings for executive leadership and franchise advisory councilConducts frequent store visits to drive performance, collaboration and effectiveness of key programsLeads finalization of equipment plans and layout to support category program execution for new stores and remodels; and identifies improvement of layouts for existing store to drive improved customer experience and sales.Develops standards that promote operational adherence and continual improvement of food safety and HACCP standards. Supports crisis management of any food recalls to ensure safety of our customers and compliance of vendors.Provides direction on auditing and operational standards to properly monitor food preparation methods, portion size, garnishing and presentation of food to ensure food is prepared and presented to brand standards.Proactively developing collaborative relationships with Operations, IT, Marketing to be viewed as a trusted resource.Establishes and maintains a service-oriented team relationship with Retail Area Managers, stores and operations.Overall responsibility for all merchandising programs and plans to enable consistent executionBachelor's Degree in Business, Restaurant Management or Related FieldRequires a minimum of 7 years of retail/food-service/c-store management experience.Must have a minimum 3 years of multi-unit leadership experience in a retail Prepared Foods environment.A consumer driven food and beverage leader and innovator with a proven record of developing and executing best in class customer service and operations in a convenience/retail, fast casual environment. Experience in multi-unit environments critical.Ability to evaluate and analyze consumer trends that drive sound product and brand innovation and ongoing program development.Exceptional communication, organizational and project management skills, with strong ability to collaborate across the business and work under pressure.Category leadership, project management, retail sales & analytics expertiseAbility to analyze, interpret and act upon statistical information and data daily. This would include daily sales, food costs, profit margins, inventory controls and food & beverage purchasing protocolsDemonstrated success in setting and meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets.Procurement experience.Strong proven customer service, communication and presentation skills.Excellent computer skills - proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to travel to store locations and key conferences/events.Knowledge of contemporary food service trends, contemporary marketing trends, and knowledge of health and safety requirements.ServSafe or comparable food and beverage safety training and certification
