We are currently searching for an Accounts Receivable Team Lead who will be responsible for the overall processing of miscellaneous payments and charges to AR accounts. The AR Team Lead will also be primarily responsible for AR reporting on a weekly and monthly basis, fielding questions related to AR account transactions, and managing changes to A/R and treasury-related software including testing and implementation. The AR Team Lead will centralize AR requests from Retail Marketing and refer inquires to the correct team member responsible. They will also be responsible for communicating business processes to our IT team related to projects in order to ensure functioning as anticipated.At minimum, the candidate will be accountable for:Using Atlas to create financial analysis reports and customizing templates for different functions throughout the accounting team to automate tasksProcessing miscellaneous deposits and charges to AR accounts as necessaryReviewing all AR accounts to ensure transactions are correctly chargedPreparing and distributing monthly AR aging reports with analysisReconciling AR Control Accounts to sub-ledgerRecording and reporting all EFT Returns including reconciling associated GL accounts and weekly aging reporting to OperationsReconciling inter-company accounts to ensure all revenues are recorded in the appropriate entityReconciling Joint Venture AP & AR balances and resolve any outstanding issuesCalculating and recording monthly petroleum rebates including reconciling associated GL accountsRecording and reconciling security deposits held for Wholesale/Retail locationsProviding prompt and thorough customer service regarding AR account and business process inquiriesCoordinating the resolution of inquiries within the Accounting TeamManaging changes to accounting business processes and the related accounting/treasury software including detailed testing, documentation and implementationOther special projects as assignedAt minimum, the candidate must possess:Associates degree in Accounting or related field2 years' previous experience in an accounting or auditing capacityAt minimum, the candidate must have applied experience in:Previous skills using a PC with data entry experienceGeneral ledger reconciliation experience and analytical skillsThe ideal candidate will also have:Experience with managing changes to accounting business processes and the resulting accounting software customizations/enhancementsReconciliation experienceAt minimum, the candidate must be able to demonstrate:Strong analytical skillsStrong communication skills and ability to follow upThe ideal candidate will also be:A proactive self-starter
