We currently have an IDD Brand Sales Consultant career opportunity in the Washington DC or Baltimore, MD area. Territory covers Washington DC and Baltimore, MD, Travel up to 5%.POSITION PURPOSE: The Brand Sales Consultant is responsible for achieving sales objectives and growing sales volume for Essilor premium branded products in assigned accounts within an assigned geographic territory. They are also responsible for acquisition and growth of their independent ECP's business and loyalty through the positioning and delivery of Essilor's branded products, marketing strategies, consumer initiatives, service excellence and technical superiority. The Brand Sales Consultant fosters a professional business relationship with new and existing independent eye care professionals and laboratory personnel to ensure proper support of Essilor Branded products. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for:Achieving assigned sales goals across assigned geographic territoryUtilizing Brand Sales strategy to develop trusted partnerships with ECPS to not only grow their branded product sales but their overall businessDetermining customer needs and positioning Essilor's premium branded products and Customer Development Group programs and services to effectively meet the needs of each customerDeveloping existing account base and gaining new accounts via territory prospectingUsing consultative selling approach with customers to drive sales and establish business partnershipsDemonstrating a detailed understanding of loyal accounts and new opportunities to develop a territory plan that drives growth in Essilor's premium branded productsContinuing to review territory plans that are in alignment with the Brand Sales strategy with the District Sales ManagerDeveloping and maintaining strong working relationships with their lab partners to ensure successful customer relations and achievement of sales objectives Communicating regularly with lab principles, lab customer service and lab consultant counterparts to support training needs and strategically plan growth opportunities within their territoryDocumenting, in a timely and detailed manner, all ECP and lab customer interactions, commitments and meaningful communication via company approved CRM systemCommunicating effectively across Essilor Channels and within the Customer Development Group as needed to effectively support their territory and achieve assigned sales goalsCommunicating with District Sales Manager on an ongoing basis regarding personal growth and development, sales results, and plans of action to drive consistent growth in their territoryUtilizing the knowledge they gain through co-rides, call-ins and other communication with their District Sales Manager to continually improve and meet overall objectivesMonitoring changes in the market and key competitive activity within the territory. Communicating with the District Sales Manager to implement competitive sales strategies based on the needs/changes within the marketAnticipating customer needs/issues and addressing them proactively to maintain a professional image for Essilor; partners with lab counterparts to resolve issues when appropriate.Providing extraordinary customer service to ECP and lab customers Conducting highly effective business and training presentations for both large and small audiencesAttending industry trade shows, Company and Brand Sales Group meetings, customer meetings and conferences as neededCompleting all requested and required administrative tasks such as travel and entertainment expenses, monthly reports, and other administrative requests on timeMeeting or exceeding the standards set forth in the Essilor "Performance Planning & Review" and the Brand Sales Group "Standards of Performance"Representing the company in line with stated core values EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree requiredDemonstrated sales results with 1 to 3 years sales experience preferably involving persuasive interactions that influence and change customer behaviorsStrong interpersonal communication skills ie flexibility, adaptability and ability to provide personal contributions while also contributing to overall teamDemonstrated computer & analytical skillsDemonstrated presentation skillsCustomer service orientation required. Customer service experience or client relations strongly preferred.Must be able to travel
