Raytheon Mission Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support to a US Government program. The Systems Engineer will serve as one of the Subject Matter Experts on a team that is responsible for monitoring and facilitating technical development and production projects that are being performed for a Government customer. Job duties include ensuring that system requirements and specifications are consistent with operational requirements, recommending innovative solutions for technical problems, monitoring and documenting component and system tests, ensuring compliance with Government program management practices and authoring and reviewing project documentation. Work Location: Government facility in Northern VATravel required: Domestic travel one week every other monthResponsibilities:Serve as the lead Systems Engineer and assist the project team with the standing up of a new technical programServe as the program interface to the program's technical partners in both the Government ad industryDevelop and document the customer's technical requirementsDevelop and document test verification/validation plans and proceduresEnsure compliance with Government program management practicesSupport program control gates and boards, provide schedule input and communicate status to various levels of management and team members.Required skills:Candidate must be a US CitizenExperience managing technical system development projects in the Intelligence Community (IC) and/or the Department of Defense (DoD)Experience serving as Government Project Management or Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR)Systems Engineering or configuration management training or experienceProven ability to work in a team environmentProven ability to mentor others and/or take a leadership role on specific projects.Strong verbal and written communication skills demonstrated in the preparation of written requirements and specificationsDesired skills:Candidate must have a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.Experience in the development and testing of software productsDetail -orientated, deadline driven, self directed and organized individualDisplays a high level of initiative and ability to deliver results on technical projectsExhibits solid engineering judgment and decision makingEducation:Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree 93959
