Refer Save Apply Job ID: KST-35174 Description: The objective of this position is to lead and guide HealthCare Enterprises role in achieving the optimal deployment and use of physician practice information technology / systems in general and clinical electronic medical record and data in particular.This position will represent HealthCare Enterprises with the AAHS IS team and all the activities relevant to HCE and Physician Enterprise practices. The position will be strategically and tactically forward thinking and identify and investigate new information technology / systems products or uses that may enhance relevant HCE and Physician Enterprise practices.The position will work closely and productively with HCE practice management staff in the management and development of training support, identification and resolution of problems and improvements, coordination of information technology / systems and EMR activities across practices.The position will be involved in all aspects of deployment, implementation, improvement and optimization of EMR.The position will act as a HCE technical resource and problem solver as it pertains to relevant information / systems and EMR.Communicate in conjunction with AAHS IT department to the physicians regarding available systems and applications and how they will provide value.Plan and initiate recommendations for software modifications or additional technologies to increase the capacity or efficiently to use.Conduct studies to analyze physicians needs in office environments.Assist testing requirements for new or modified software and/or interfaces.Assist and implement interface test plans, including coordination of testing across systems.Assists with the development of departmental goals and objectives, the annual budget, and departmental policies and procedures.Initiates learning activities for personal development, attending conferences and participating in experiences to increase skills and breadth of knowledge base. Share results of these learning activities with others in the organization as appropriate.Providers for the continuing education/development of subordinate staff through performance planning and review, feedback, and documentation. Providers professional development activities, discusses new developments and exchanges information to ensure continued proficiency.Serves as team leader and participant for various project assignments as directed by the Executive Director, and responds as required to request from other team leaders.Responds to referred inquiries and complaints from system users and all other customers; resolves significant issues and makes recommendation Executive Director, for resolutions.Participates in project meetings and task forces as assigned; follows through to complete tasks and/or resolve issues.Establish a clear understanding of clients key metrics prior to an implementation and determine clear quantifiable expectations for the customer once fully implemented on the software.Continually monitor the operational impact of the systems, interfaces and compliance with HCEs objectives. Revise and maintain documentation. Provide administration, coordination, leadership and guidance for applications and interfaces supported.Provide user support for HCE clients within reason. Determine system integration requirements and assure that information flows correctly between all applications.Works with other analyst and Project Manager as needed to insure that a consistent model is applied throughout HCE. Coordinates resolution of operational issues between the assigned applications and system support personnel.Serve as the primary contact for technical issues for secondary vendors with interfaces to the core applications used within HCE and Anne Arundel Health Systems. Serve as a day-to-day contact person between external application consultants and hospital personnel as needed. Assume responsibility for implementation of applications and coordinates activities with personnel assuming functional responsibility for operations.Performs assigned responsibilities for various aspects of HCE project management.Required: Bachelors degree (or equivalent degree) or a minimum of 5 years experience in a health care/medical technology setting, within a minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory/management position.Five or more years experience within a Health Care System in process improvement programs, private practice operations, revenue cycle management and/or project management. Three to five years experience in a hospital clinical environment supplemented with intense information systems experience. Proficient in the following Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel and Word Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel. Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to simultaneously champion the cause of client and serve as an HCE advocate.
