Tracking Code 1169 Job Description POSITION: Operations System Administrator Opportunity Snapshot This position offers you the opportunity to expand your skills, knowledge and experience in data center infrastructure management and operations applications as you join a growing and dynamic team with the largest data center solution provider for the world's leading enterprises. You will be directly involved with managing our global Customer Portal, our Integrated Work Management System (IWMS) application ("Insite") and other operational systems throughout our global operation. You will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle of each system launch, including gathering requirements, running tests, validating results and ensuring each solution is working per plan. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations Management Systems, you will be responsible for the end-to-end support of all systems supporting operations and you'll work with a variety of internal partners including Operations, Security, Customer Service and others to drive improvements. We have team members throughout the country and internationally and your ability to successfully collaborate with remote colleagues will be key. Although you'll work a typical Monday-Friday schedule, there may be occasional meetings that are conducted in the evening or early morning to accommodate other time zones. The RequirementsA bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.A minimum of three years of prior experience in business intelligence and/or similar field, with emphasis in the areas of designing, building, deploying, and maintaining reporting / application solutions.Experience and familiarity with the following technologies, systems and techniques:Hardware and NetworkAgile Scrum methodologySQL Server 2005, 2008 or 2012; including SSIS, SSAS, SSRSSQL and Multidimensional Expressions (MDX)Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Visual SourceSafe (VSS)PerformancePoint ServicesFacility Management Applications (Planon, Infor EAM, Maximo, Tririga, etc.)Customer PortalsCustomer Relationship Management systemsExperience working and developing in multiple environments and with a deployment team supporting hardware and network requirements.Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical information to a variety of business professionals.A background in data centers, real estate, IT consulting and CAD could all be a strong fit. The Role As a member of the company's Operations Systems Team, the Operations System Administrator is responsible for day to day application support required to ensure the operations platform has the highest availability and data integrity possible. Serving as the Subject Matter Expert on Operation's systems including diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues; as well as user administration.Maintaining multiple Task Specific Interfaces (TSI) information relative to physical property and equipment data.Cross-referencing data between multiple sites and ensuring accurate data exists in all tables.Correlating data from and to multiple systems, including but not limited to contract management and accounting systems.Liaising with internal departments, including Operations, IT, Sales, Customer Service and other departments to ensure proper maintenance of dataManaging vendor relations including working with system representatives on system issues and enhancements.Producing detailed analysis from operational systems including but not limited to reporting on space and asset related business items and presenting findings to company management.Maintain application support documentation, gather and document requirements and write user guides.Provide user training.Testing configuration changes in the development environment prior to releasing changes to the production environment.
