Refer Save Apply Job ID: SLH-80188 Description: Position ObjectiveThe Payor Contract Analyst is responsible for providing detailed and accurate analyses supporting payor contract negotiations for AAMC and all affiliates to improve revenue performance.Essential FunctionsPerforms quantitative analysis of payor rates, including rate negotiation proposals, annual rate inflators and performance incentives, to determine the financial impact.Maintains a complete inventory of current year and historical payor rates, rate methodologies and volume by code, entity and payor to enable analysis and informed rate negotiations.Maintains a complete inventory of executed payor contracts by entity and payor with summaries of historical rate increases using industry benchmarks.Develops, runs and analyzes periodical payor mix and payor performance reports.As needed, conducts other analyses related to the operation and performance of payor contracts.Obtains rates and rate methodologies directly from the payors and by collaborating with organizational stakeholders.Establishes and maintains good payor relations to facilitate professional working relationships and develops and maintains familiarity with payor rate structures, payment methodologies and payor policies for commercial payors, Medicare, Medicaid and other governmental payors.Provides support for organizational stakeholders and responds to inquiries regarding payor rates and contract terms.Presents analysis summaries, detail and all information in an organized and concise manner.Assists with the establishment, evaluation and improvement of analytical models, including the analysis of risk-based or value-based contracts and payor reimbursement budget projection calculations.Knowledge/ExperienceRequired Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Health Care Administration preferred.Required Minimum Experience: 3 years of related work experience at the analyst level, including hospital and physician practice contract-related work. Work experience at payor strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of computer software programs. Ability to manage multiple projects and large volumes of data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
