About the Opportunity Digital Management, Inc. (DMI) is seeking a full time DOD Junior Capture Manager. The Junior Capture Manager will be responsible for leading full life-cycle Opportunity development, including oversight and management of proposal strategy development, teaming strategies, win theme development, Position to Win (PTW), development, oversight of day-to-day team operations, team logistics, scheduling, color team assignment and review, development and maintenance of boiler plate technical writing material and providing additional assistance as needed. The Junior Capture Manager will manage opportunities from the BD identification phase through strategy development, solution development, and proposal development ensuring 100% compliant, compelling, and winning proposals. Duties and Responsibilities: Develops capture plan, and schedule from opportunity identification through RFP release. Directs the Proposal Manager in managing proposal teams through the proposal development life-cycle.Leads the proposal manager to develop compliant outlines, matrix, and development schedules.Plans and coordinates proposal resources (people, budget, and schedule) Collaborates with, and monitors specific progression of associated tasks, other internal departments including Contracts, Legal, and Pricing to ensure terms & conditions are appropriately assessed & tailored and proposals are delivered on time and in compliance with all RFP requirements.Facilitates development of solutions, insights, win themes, discriminators.Monitors the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) pipeline to identify target capture & proposal actionsLeads proposal manager to monitor and manage proposal compliance with instructions and deadlines.Leads proposal manager in organizing and facilitating proposal kickoffs, meetings, review sessions ETC.Coordinates with the SBU Capture Manager to optimize proposal solution and improve win probability.Communicates day-to-day with the DoD Capture Manager and proposal team to conduct pre-RFP proposal planning, kick-off, color team reviews, status meetings, and progress reviews.Identifies barriers to progress, plans and implements effective and efficient problem-solving and corrective action.Responsible for timeliness and quality control for all proposals delivered.Performs other duties and tasks as assigned. Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field.Three plus years' experience as a Proposal Manager/Coordinator in the DoD proposal environment.Required Skills/Certifications:DoD proposal environment.Understanding of and experience with formal proposal development processes such as the Shipley methodSignificant knowledge of DoD RFP submission processes.Ability to develop, nurture and build internal and external relationships for proposal submission.Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment.Flexibility, self-motivation, and enthusiasm to work on tight deadlines.Client service orientation.Expert use of MS Word as a desktop publishing tool.Proficiency in fundamental computer operation including file management within shared folders.Familiarity with MS SharePoint as a user.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work overtime required on occasion.Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.Desired Skills/Certifications: DoD proposal environment.Understanding of and experience with formal proposal development processes such as the Shipley methodSignificant knowledge of DoD RFP submission processes.Ability to develop, nurture and build internal and external relationships for proposal submission.Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment.Flexibility, self-motivation, and enthusiasm to work on tight deadlines.Client service orientation.Expert use of MS Word as a desktop publishing tool.Proficiency in fundamental computer operation including file management within shared folders.Familiarity with MS SharePoint as a user.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work overtime required on occasion.Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
