Refer Save Apply Job ID: MSB-53777 Description: The Treatment Assistant's general responsibilities include supervision of residents, milieu management and facilitation of group meetings. Performs resident care duties and selected services under the direct supervision of the program supervisor. This individual must have a clear understanding of age related development issues and chemical dependency.Performs duties according to established standards for age groups adolescence through geriatric by demonstrating knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span. Employee will assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets said data relative to age specific needs.Supervises resident activities and maintains competency to care for patients by setting limits on resident's behavior and intervening to decrease the inappropriate behavior of residents under the direction of a Case Manager. Interacts with patients both individually and in a variety of group modalities to include didactic, focus and 12-step groups.Encourages independent behavior when and where appropriate and communicates with team members concerning inappropriate or non-compliant behavior or difficulty with bedtime routine.Conducts room searches according to shift and program standardsMaintains accurate and complete chart documentation regarding patient attitude and progress in the rehabilitation process following program protocols.Orients new patients concerning treatment expectations for all new residents.Transports patients to and from AA/NA/C DA meetings, appointments, etc. as necessarySupervises leisure activities as required.Performs inventory of required treatment materials and replenishes as needed.Attends and participates in program staff meetings, multidisciplinary clinical staff meetings, rehabilitation staff in-service meeting.If serving as a bilingual/multilingual interpreter, certification in Medical Interpretation is required to perform the duties of a qualified interpreter.Required: Valid Maryland driver's license and a driving record with no more than two (2) points. Training in chemical dependency or personal recovery experience.Current American Health Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
