SUMMARY Support Category and Product Management within JLG's Marketing department in managing assigned products through the entire product life cycle. This person will be instrumental in ensuring that NPD teams are fully supported for active projects while working with the Product Manager and Marketing department to prepare and execute marketing deliverables at each phased gate. Collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and Quality and is recognized as an SME for the assigned product line. Reports to the Global Category Director, Aerial Work Platforms ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRepresent sales and marketing in cross functional NPD programsLead and prepare required deliverables throughout the gated NPD process ensuring deliverables up to date and assist with gate review preparation as well as execution of deliverables and initiativesWork cross-functionally with program managers on new product development (NPD) programs to ensure customer and market requirements are identified and met. Responsible for providing market perspective in the product management process, including market analysis, voice of customer, product definition and requirements, and product launch supportWork with Product Manager and Marketing to develop and execute product, pricing and marketing communications elements of annual business and marketing plans, including strategies, plans and programsSupport the development of the long range product plan (MGPP), identifying ideas for new products, line extensions, product improvements and adjacent business opportunitiesExecute new product launch plans, providing product education, demonstration and expertise to internal and external customersAssist with product line pricing plans, including price change implementation, tracking competitive market pricing, and providing cost analysisAssist with development and execution of ongoing Sales and customer education and communication program to ensure full understanding of product features, benefits and comparisons to competitive products and promote value-based selling propositionsAssist with tracking and analysis of market and competitive dynamics for product line, including ongoing market share analysis, demand forecasts and marketing plan preparation as conditions change.
