Phase One is seeking a Senior Business Consultant who will be responsible for assisting with project management and delivery of a data analysis center of excellence at a federal agency. The position requires strong consulting skills with experience in financial data analysis.Position Responsibilities Perform data analysis on Oracle, public, and homegrown databases and schemas using ACL and Excel.Recommend data reporting solutions to meet business needs and coordinate the planning, development, and implementation of those solutions.Meet with the client to understand their requirements, map those requirements to available datasets, and develop tests to accommodate.Develop risk-based data analyses and dashboards to highlight concern areas within various program areas and business functionsProvide flux analyses of the general ledger and accounts during quarter and fiscal year closing periodsSupport the continued execution and develop of improper payment reports for benefit recipients, contractors/vendors, and other beneficiaries of federal programsManage data gathering, query development, and report generation for various projects and produces documentation to support each report.Participate in account growth and business development activities Position Requirements 5 - 10+ years of consulting experience in a financial analyst or auditing role with experience conducting data gathering, analysis, and development of reportsBachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related fieldUnderstanding of Federal financial regulations including IPIA and IPERAExperience supporting a Federal client while working for a consulting organizationExperience with ACL, IDEA, or similar data analysis software toolsExperience with Oracle databases and their schemasExperience with Department of Labor (5500) or PBGC annual filings (CPF) a plusFamiliarity with sampling methodologies and approachesAbility to work on-site at Federal agency located in Washington, DC and must be able to obtain a US Federal public trust or pass a background investigationStrong analytical and communication skillsAbility to prioritize project tasks and identify project issues with minimal supervisionAbility to build and maintain trusting and value added client relationshipsStrong oral and written communication skills as well as project management skills
