IMPAQ is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Advanced Analytics Division. The Health Insurance Data Analytics Project Manager will support projects primarily in the Health Division collaborating with the Health Insurance & Marketplace practice area team of exceptional people to contribute to work that affects the health care of millions of people. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management and client communication experience, as well as quantitative data analytics skills with the ability to lead all aspects of research projects. ResponsibilitiesLead, oversee, and mentor junior data analysts and other research support staff to operationalize data business needs and develop detailed technical plans and standard operating procedures to produce resultsCollect and analyze large data sets in Health domainPerform statistical analyses using SAS Analyze data, summarize results and incorporate findings into reports tailored to client needs that include actionable recommendations (includes writing technical reports and making presentations to government clients)Implement quality assurance processes and techniques into data analysis and company-wide processesManage client-facing projects, client expectations, and client relationshipsDevelop project work plans, and manage the execution of these work plans, including communicating technical and budget risks to project leadershipParticipate in business development activities, including developing contracts and grants for new projects; help manage new work identified QualificationsEducationMaster's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative fieldSAS certification Knowledge, and Experience7+ years Experience and knowledge of data analysis and data management techniques using SAS (and other databases, SPSS, STATA, R , Access, Excel) requiredExperience working with large datasets, and at least 5 years of SAS programming in administrative claims data or health insurance claims dataExperience managing client relationships and managing projects (project management training preferred)Experience managing/mentoring junior analystsBusiness development interest/experience and interest in health insurance policy preferredSkillsSuccessful project and client management experience a mustThorough knowledge of SASSkilled in all aspects of data processing management and quantitative analyticsExcellent ability to communicate complex technical material, both orally and in writingStrong writing and editing skills
