Quality Assurance Tester

Key Role:

Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new or modified products or product components. Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel, provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups, and guide and direct lower level personnel on the set-up and performance of tests. Act as a liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items. Devise and apply testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors. Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs. Plan, conduct, and supervise assignments, review progress, and evaluate results. Plan and assign personnel for given projects or tasks, recommend changes in procedures, operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, and review progress with management.


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in testing and QA

-Experience as a lead tester for a complex content management system migration

-Experience with Agile and DevOps environments

-Experience with using automated test cases and multiple types of testing, including regression testing, system integration testing, black box, and smoke testing

-Knowledge of testing 508 compliance

-Ability to write test plans and test cases and develop and maintain test scripts

-Public Trust clearance

-BS degree in Science or Mathematics

-ASTQB CFT Certification or other testing credentials

Additional Qualifications:

-MS degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred
