Oversees, evaluates, and supports documentation, validation and accreditation processes necessary to assure that new information technology (IT) systems meet the organization’s information assurance (IA) and security requirements.  Ensures appropriate treatment of risk, compliance, and assurance from internal and external perspectives.

 

Duties (Level IV):

    Assess the information technology (IT) operating environment and controls over all information technology functions and processes.Responsible for performing all aspects of assessing controls over security and IT processes including identifying, evaluating and reporting on risks.Make recommendations to management based on risk and the cost/benefit to the corporation.Act in assistance of the Chief Information Security Officer in the maintenance and discharge of the Information Security Program.
 

Education Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical specialty such as cyber security, computer science, management information systems or related IT field  (Master's Degree Preferred)

Qualifications 10+ years’ experience working as an Information Assurance Analyst for an information technology, information assurance, or information management program

 

CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more required) 
CompTIA Security+ CE, OR; Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), OR; ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), OR; Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security and CISSP
