Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer, the Director of Development and Corporate Engagement is responsible for helping to design and oversee the execution of the development team overall strategy for attaining and stewarding gifts and investments from donors and foundation partners’; and is responsible for the development of a corporate giving strategy and related execution for the benefit of the Ivymount Corporation and supported organizations.

Development

  • Aid the Chief Development Officer to develop, continuously refine and execute a concretized, linear development plan and related strategies for Ivymount Corporation and all supported organizations
  • Oversee the creation and execution of annual appeals (Maddux, Ivymount and Outreach), annual reports and related table of gifts
  • Oversee the development of annual scopes of services for Outreach, the Maddux School, the Ivymount School and the Ivymount Foundation in conjunction with the Director of Marketing and Communications
  • Work with Director of Marketing and Communication and wider team to ensure donors are stewarded
  • Direct moves management through the creation of exceptional plans and managing the right people for “the ask” as needed
  • Explore new donor engagement strategies (e.g., foundation breakfast)

Corporate Fundraising

  • Raise a progressively increasing (year by year) budgetary amount for Ivymount corporation (including Maddux, Outreach and Ivymount School)
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and Communication to ensure communications support development goals and activities as needed

Administration

  • Develop and manage corporate and development budgets in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer
  • Oversee database development, upkeep and financial reporting
  • Work with the research team to track emerging outcomes and publications as they relate to longer term development prospects
  • Widen matching gifts program through current and future donors
