Responsibilities: Provides leadership to achieve internal and external compliance requirements and ensures projects are completed correctly and on time. Manages daily and weekly reports and paperwork to ensure projects are within or exceeds the NPL's profitable operations model. Ensures the crew is meeting the company defined quality and safety standards that are prescribed by NPL, OSHA, and the customer. Fields and manages crew to respond to crisis issues, such as, outages, malfunctions, etc. in a timely manner. Mentors and assist staff members with their career advancement by providing training and mentorship guidance. Manages the Construction Crew Supervisor by contributing information and suggestions to better assist them with being productive and successful in their jobs. Organizes the crew's work that is to be done on a daily basis. Reviews the work done on projects ensuring project accuracy and quality. Communicates and provides updates to the Area Manager daily. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Requirements: Extensive knowledge specialized disciplines such as pipeline construction, concrete, and/or electrical applications, including overhead/underground transmission, distribution, and substation. Specific knowledge of leak work (main repairs, service repairs, pinpointing, etc.) Mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages, and medians. Written communication skill to compose complex reports, legal documents, proposals, and business/project plans. Knowledge of department practices and procedures, and ability to support NPL Core Values. Oral communication skill to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. Interpersonal skill to negotiate key business strategies or significant agreements favorable to NPL, reconciling differences to arrive at acceptable solutions. Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, financial reports, business/project plans and strategies, and legal documents. Ability to develop annual business/project plan for division or organizational unit to accomplish organizational objectives. Ability to develop and administer an expense budget for the division. Ability to persuade others to a course of action by instructing, convincing, or influencing through professional guidance using logic and example. Ability to plan and schedule activities over a year or longer, including regular review and coordination of activities required for implementation. Ability to accomplish departmental, divisional, and organizational goals when information is vague and details are absent or difficult to obtain. Ability to solve unique problems and develop methods, systems, policies or services that have a significant impact on company objectives.
