DISPLAY ASSISTANT / HOUSEKEEPER MAJOR FUNCTION: To assist the store manager with set up and display of furniture and to maintain the store's cleanliness and appearance. DISPLAY ASSISTANT / HOUSEKEEPER SPECIFIC DUTIES: Help visual merchandiser with floor moves and processing of new accessories. Must be able to move and help arrange heavy merchandise on the showroom floor. Responsible for hanging signs and placards in windows and from the ceiling. Assist customers in carrying heavy merchandise to their vehicles. General maintenance knowledge. Keep merchandise on the floor in functional condition, including ordering parts and repairing when necessary. Fill in for delivery driver, as needed (must be be DOT certified or willing to be trained) Maintain stockroom in an orderly fashion, including sweeping and mopping. Keep exits lit and free of obstruction. Assist in maintenance on the grounds. Will be required to back-up the driver team on an as needed basis. Maintain cleanliness of showroom, offices, bathrooms and break room Clean offices including desks, tables, windows, etc. Monitor and remove trash from the display area and offices. Mop floors. Keep paper dispensers filled. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions Maintain and submit orders/requests for cleaning supplies This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
