Salary will be based on candidate's experience and skills.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee the activities of the division's accounting functions for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports.Execute the monthly and year-end financial closing process for the division, including maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger. Analyze and report the current month's financial results to management in accordance with format and time requirements.Provide for a standard costing system and ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported values.Oversee disbursement activities, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, and division payroll tax compliance.Oversee accounts receivable activities to ensure the accurate and timely management of all aging components including billings, cash receipts application, and collection of delinquent accounts.Implement and enforce financial reporting and accounting procedures and schedules.Establish and maintain internal controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.Manage fixed assets and capital spending processes.Participate in the budget and forecasting process, providing insight and financial reporting as required.Ensure division income tax compliance and the appropriate application of tax codes.Document and understand the ERP system, and ensure accurate utilization by company personnel.Administer claims processing activities for property and liability insurance coverage.Coordinate audit and compliance activities with external auditors and agencies.Maintain current professional knowledge of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the accounting function.Respond to the Corporate Controller and the COO & CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate their financial needs.Perform special projects and other comparable and related duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManage accounting staff (7 employees). Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesBachelor's Degree in accounting or finance or equivalentCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredMinimum of 5 years experience with demonstrated track record of corporate financial accounting experience, including public company Consumer products industry experience; food/protein industry preferredSolid system knowledge (Crystal reports, Microsoft Dynamics/Navision, Hyperion Essbase)Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate and relate to people at all levels of the organizationStrong technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focusAbility to manage and develop staffWell organized and self-directed individual who is able successfully manage and execute multiple projects in a fast paced environmentInterested candidates should send their resumes to [Click Here to Email Your Resume] for consideration.
