This new hire will work in McCormick's US Consumer Products Division, located at 211 Schilling Circle in Hunt Valley, MD. Benefits include, but are not limited to, tuition assistance, medical, dental, vision, disability, group life insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, paid holidays and vacations.POSITION OVERVIEWUnder the general supervision of the Sr. Finance Director, this position is responsible for leading a team in providing financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, budgeting and support for Inventories, as well as losses due to Scrap and Shrinkage for all North America business units, presenting to management potential risks of inventory loss and the adequacy of current inventory reserves, coordinating physical inventory counts for NA locations as required, and managing all associated internal controls.RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial inventory reporting and analysis including communication of variances, trends and associated explanations, as well as impacts and changes to days in inventoryLeads forecasting and budgeting processes for inventory and scrap and shrinkage lossPartners with North America Materials Management to assess inventory at risk as it compares to current inventory reserves, providing explanation of issues, trends and changes, and makes recommendations to management regarding adjusting reserve balances.Manages all SOX controls related to inventory account balances, counts, reconciliations and reserve analysisCoordination, observation and audits of physical inventory counts as needed.Supervise a staff of two Financial AnalystsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance8+ years of financial analysis, cost accounting or planning experienceStrong proficiency with ExcelCritical thinking skills and ability to problem solve using creative solutionsGood communication and interpersonal skills are critical. Ideal candidate will have a strong customer-service focus, and the ability to evaluate/consolidate complex information into concise, actionable insights for senior leadership.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMBA and/or CPASupervisory experienceSolid working knowledge of other PC-based tools, including Word and PowerPointHands on experience with financial systems, especially SAP, BW, TM1, HFM/Hyperion and other OLAP systemsExperience analyzing, reporting, forecasting and budging both P&L and Balance Sheet accounts.Familiarity with cash-related financial concepts including working capital, cash conversion and days in inventoryExperience participating on cross functional projects, supporting finance initiativesMcCormick & Company is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
