Director of SalesJob description3H Group Hotels, recognized as a Top 100 Hotel Owner & Developer by Hotel Business magazine and a leading Southeastern US hotel company managing Marriott, IHG, Hilton, Cendent and Choice brands is excited to be seeking a Director of Sales for our busy Holiday Inn Express hotel located in Largo, MD.As a Hotel Sales Director, you will lead and manage all day-to-day activities with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. You will be responsible for achieving your own personal booking goals.The DOS - SM is responsible for generating top line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations. This is done through direct sales, cultivating leads, strategic marketing, and maximizing revenue through pricing and occupancy strategies. It is important that this role keeps abreast of local events and conventions.The chosen candidate will be an active part of the community by being involved in networking associations and government affairs. In addition, the DOS - SM is expected to build and maintain professional rapport with local businesses, organizations, lead sources, clients, and competitor hotels. Your specific duties in this role will include: Working with management team in developing and executing sales strategies Assisting with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external Providing positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential Monitoring all day to day activities of direct reports Participate in client calls and in person sales calls on a regular basis Executing and supporting the operational aspects of business booked (eg, generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence, etc.) Analyzing market information and implementing strategy to achieve property's financial room and catering goals Interacting with guests to obtain feedback and reviewing guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service Displaying leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying customer service and creating a positive example for guest relations Developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external Director of SalesJob requirementsWe are looking for a self-motivated Hotel Sales Director with solid leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a drive to exceed expectations. It is also important that you have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as the ability to establish rapport with both new and existing clients.Specific qualifications for the role include: Fluent in basic computer skills to include Word and Excel in business format. Fluent in electronic communications (email). Direct Hotel Sales Experience (2 years minimum). Preferred Holiday Inn/IHG Hotel experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as team player with all levels of hotel staff. Excellent guest relations skills. Prior experience using Hotel Sales Pro. Academic Requirements:College degree and/or equivalent sales experience required. Candidates selected for an interview will have hotel sales experience, an outgoing personality, strength in direct sales, and experience in competitive shopping.
