Transportation Coordinator Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a transportation coordinator to provide instruction and oversight for the commercial truck and commercial bus driver training programs and to coordinate and supervise the commercial truck driver, commercial bus driver, driver education and motorcycle training programs. Duties include designing, documenting and reviewing course curricula; ensuring compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations, the Motor Vehicle Administration, and other applicable regulatory agencies; serving as community liaison to generate leads and recruit students and businesses; and preparing and providing program reports. Requirements include a bachelor's degree, supervisory experience, a current Class A CDL that was held for the past three years, a satisfactory driving record with no alcohol or drug violations, a valid Department of Transportation physical card, knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Motor Vehicle Administration laws, strong mathematical, oral and written communication skills, and strong computer, human relations and supervisory skills. An associate degree with a minimum of two years of program coordination and staff supervision experience or a high school diploma or the equivalent with a minimum of six years of program coordination and staff supervision can be substituted for the education requirement. Preference will be given to Class A CDL candidates with experience driving multiple types of commercial vehicles; teaching students behind the wheel of a tractor trailer, dump truck, school bus or passenger bus; and holding school bus and passenger endorsements, driver education, and/or motorcycle safety certifications.
