.Superior Group is looking for a Production Test Technician for our Client located in Manassas, VA.Performs a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units, developmental or prototype requirements in product development, manufacturing engineering or preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited. Builds and populates electronics enclosure cabinets, routes cables, preforms pressure tests, fills in as-built-list (ABL) templates, conducts continuity checks, preps units for customer delivery, and assists with customer and quality inspections. Works from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental and production assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. Operates related equipment - torque wrenches, small hand tools, hand trucks, pressure test station, pull test equipment. Uses Loctite and other compounds and solutions. Responsible for accurate record keeping, time recording, and safety training. Uses computer to access work instructions, log discrepancies/issues, log time, enter ABL information, and communicate via email..Required Skills / Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.Minimum of 2 years' experience with small hand tools and strong mechanical sense. Minimum of 2 years Computer experience in windows/word/web based applications. Secret ClearancePreferred Skills / Qualifications:Strong work ethic and prompt arrival. Organization and strong communications skills. Experience building COTS based electronics cabinets. Solder certification or training. Experience with ARCI or VA Class Sonar Programs. Navy experience.Active DoD Secret Clearance. Additional Requirements:Physical ability to work standing or sitting and occasionally crouching/kneeling to access interior of units. Ability to pass eye test (with or without corrective lenses) with vision of 20/40 or better.Schedule: Flex 9/80 A: (Autotime System) with occasional voluntary paid overtime during the week or on weekends.
