Through partnership, innovation, and thought leadership. We continue to expand our network of providers to ensure state-wide access to care. We evaluate analytic and digital health tools that simplify care delivery while improving member health status, healthcare quality and affordability as well as member and provider experience. We provide high-touch services to members from experienced clinical teams. You'll also find us collaborating with our federal and state legislative officials to help shape policy to advance our Blue Shield mission. Position Summary: The Director, Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Program Management position will report to the Vice President ACO Performance. This leadership position will be responsible for managing and monitoring the performance of a set of initiatives designed to improve affordability and quality of care with established ACO partners. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for the performance of our ACO Program, including but not limited to, annual planning, product development and refinement, program management, budgeting, savings tracking and reporting, and monitoring of Program initiatives to ensure successful execution of all initiatives in the Program portfolio. Moreover, the Director ACO Program Management will work with cross-organizational clinicians and program management resources to scope, plan, and execute on short-term and long-term cost of health care goals. The Director ACO Program Management will be an integral cross-functional leader to support the organization and its provider partners on meeting short-term and long-term ACO healthcare integration and management goals. The ACO program is currently divided into a Northern and Southern California component with each having its own dedicated team. This position will work in partnership with the ACO Clinical Programs team to manage the performance aspects of our ACO strategic partnerships. Specific Responsibilities Include: * Lead large portfolio of initiatives, based on each ACO partnership, aimed to improve affordability, quality and care integration * Implement our clinical, technical and operational roadmaps into our ACO collaborations * Take an end-to-end, holistic view of existing healthcare delivery processes with focus on process diagnosis, analysis and improvement * Determine the best organizational structure going forward to better provide for an exceptional provider experience and to improve interdepartmental processes to serve our ACO partners. * Identify new affordability initiatives and leads the ACO Program through cross-organizational annual planning and budgeting processes * Work cross-organizationally with multiple internal departments and provider partners to ensure the portfolio of initiatives is delivering on time, budget and benefit commitments * Oversee ACO Program budgets, savings tracking and reporting, pricing and trendsetters processes and other aspects of ACO Program management * Act as a key internal liaison with Business Units to report on ACO Program goals and progress as requested * Serve as a team leader who manages and develops a team of Program Managers supporting various ACO partnerships and initiatives.
