Vencore is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledResponsibilities:Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Monitor and maintain server assets across multiple physical sites on multiple networks to maintain the health and performance of the production and development environments. Interface with Tier III and network operations to escalate and resolve technical issues on the production network environment. Support the operations and maintenance of the cyber services to maintain service availability and a strong security posture through system configuration and patching maintenance. Maintain responsibility for cyber service server management, apply thorough diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions on the production server infrastructure.Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.Required Skills:Microsoft Operating SystemsMcAfee AntivirusExperience installing, managing, deploying and operating continuous monitoring support solutions Strong interpersonal & communications skills; ability to work independentlyData gathering and analysis skillsAbility to develop and refine standard operating proceduresDesired Skills:Nessus and/or SplunkExperience with Active DirectoryKnowledge of server high-availability implementations
