Security Supervisor - Night Shift
SUMMARY: Assist the Security/Emergency Services Manager in ensuring the security and emergency services to residents, visitors, employees, facilities and assets of the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Maintains the Erickson Living philosophy and "Vision" statement.2. Daily rounds of the building and grounds. Continuous patrols and property and facilities.3. Completion of Daily Rounds Reports.4. Completion of Incident Reports (regarding medical response, theft or property, accidents, fires, serious mechanical malfunctions, emergency responses, violations of rules and regulations.5. Investigate suspected or alleged resident abuse.6. Implementation and improvement of security/emergency services procedures.7. Assure procedural compliance.8. Identification of causes and trends of security/emergency services - related losses of company assets.9. Emergency response to incidents, as necessary.10. Screening of visitors, vendors, etc. as necessary. 11. Trains new employees, assigns tasks and closely supervises until fully trained. Coaches, counsels and disciplines Security/Emergency Services Officers; performs interim and annual performance appraisals; terminates employment when necessary. Signs off on timesheets for employees.12. Supervision of Security/Emergency Services Officers.13. Scheduling of Security/Emergency Services Officers.14. Training of Security/Emergency Services Officers.15. Passing directives to Security/Emergency Services Officers.16. Additionally, perform any duty requested by Management to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Community. QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write written reports in a clear, concise manner with good grammar and spelling.Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Ability to work with computer systems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED. Some college preferred. Some college in lieu of relevant experience. One to three years in security, emergency services supervision. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: LANGUAGE SKILLS: LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:Requires current and valid state's driver license.
