While reporting to the Director of Communications this mid-levelposition will provide support for a broad array of communications activitiesand functions within Charles E. Smith Life Communities. This includes but is not limited to: external-facing publications such as the annual report, primary editor of LifeTimes magazine and E-news newsletter; collateral materials supporting the development department such as annual giving pieces, planned giving brochures and volunteer handbook; media relations content such as press releases and opinion pieces; sales and marketing, admission, and discharge materials; digital content such as digital marketing and development campaigns, website content updates and social media content creation; internal publications such as HR newsletter and employee handbook. Work includes supporting all aspects - writing, design, production and distribution. 20% of Time Provide support in communications, marketing and development projects, including but not limited to: graphic design support using established brand images and guidelines for both internal and external purposes; assistance with photography and collecting content for social media; creative and editorial support for photo and video shoots. 5% of Time Supports media relations and crisis communications strategy.
