This is a long term opportunity based OCONUS / Internationally.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Management Team with the daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of projects to meet time and cost objectives with respect to safety, contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding and contract administration functions. The ideal candidate will be required to assist their assigned Project Manager in coordinating all contractual requirements, design drawings and project specifications. Daily responsibilities include: Assist in the development of cost estimates of assigned projects Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and material suppliers for correct scope of work Prepare subcontract agreements and purchase orders for review and approval by the Project Manager Assist with preparing and completing the job start-up and closeout checklists Prepare and submit all project submittals, maintain all project logs, track and obtain properly executed documents to include contracts, insurance certificates, bonds and other documents as required to protect companies' interests Provide supporting information for the detailed project construction progress schedule in coordination with Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors and suppliers and update the schedule on a timely basis or as required by the Project with guidance from the primary Project Manager Prepare and monitor tracking logs for contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, requests for information (RFI's), change orders, material deliveries and quality control Prepare change proposals, negotiate and execute change orders, issue change orders to subcontractors and others and prepare revisions to the budget that result from change orders and management revisions with direction from the primary Project Manager Maintain a complete and accurate set of contract documents Participate in the preparation of the Project Status Report Assist in management of project start-up and closeout processes Review and prepare proper submittals to gain technical skills necessary for promotion Learn and coordinate with other project team members to assure adherence to Best Practices Obtain and maintain current certifications for First Aid, CPR and SafetySpecific qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager role include: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field preferred Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction project management, including safety standards Project management and scheduling software experience (eg MS Project, Primavera or other) Microsoft Office Suite proficiency including Word & Excel experience The ability to reach above and below; stoop and bend; lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds The manual dexterity to operate office equipment, file and perform specialized skills High degree of focus and concentration within a busy office and field environment ACTIVE DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE, SECRET OR HIGHER Federal contracting experience OCONUS / International experienceBenefitsOur client offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes: Medical Dental Vision Profit Sharing/401K Personal Time Off Package Paid Holidays Employer Paid Long Term Disability and Life Insurance Flexible Spending AccountBuild a better construction career with RealStreet and contact us today!EOE M/F/D/V
