As a Schindler Elevator Project Manager, the candidate's role will be to work with New Installation (NI) Sales Representatives and customers to ensure specifications are completely met; to work with New Installation (NI) Field Superintendents and Engineering employees to resolve technical problems; and, to work with Local and Region Management to ensure high quality and financially successful project installations. This role is customer focused, and so the selected candidate must be able to connect with people and form outstanding customer relationships so as to advance Schindler Elevator's presence in the marketplace and ensure achievement of the organization's financial goals.Responsibilities include:Follow and accurately manage New Installation projects to ensure that projects close at the required efficiency and profitability levels;.Review and book projects within one (1) week of award; provide action plans, project schedules with milestones for completion; and, develop contingency plans for project delays.Provide approved submittals to Schindler Elevator engineering and/or local vendors following project booking; coordinate and follow up with factories, local vendors and New Installations (NI) Field Superintendent on the delivery of project material to ensure that all required material is ready prior to project start date.Interface with the New Installation (NI) Field Superintendent to track job progress and assist with the development of project installation task plans in correlation with best demonstrated installation practices; notify local management if required completion dates cannot be met; and, develop action plans and milestone project schedules to ensure timely completion.Seek change notice opportunities where applicable; prepare change order paperwork and forward to the customer in a timely manner; follow up on and receive signed change orders from the customer prior to any related work being completed.Participate in monthly financial progress reviews for major projects with executive management and Finance team.Ensure timely invoicing and ensure projects are invoiced and paid to 90% before elevator turn over.Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Schindler Elevator Corporation's products, services and procedures.Mobility needs youBS/AS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance or related field with prior project management experience.Minimum 5 years experience in either the elevator industry or in a related building systems industry.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office & Excel
