This position can be based at our Global Headquarters in McLean, VA or Field based The Director of Food and Beverage Luxury Operations will support Food and Beverage strategic initiatives at the corporate, regional, and local levels for the Luxury properties. The Director will create revenue enhancement opportunities for the hotels through the implementation of all initiatives incorporated in the Flavors of Hilton. the Director of Food and Beverage Luxury Operations will also be responsible for the administration and dissemination of all Best Practices updates to the field, as well as for the support the hotel food and beverage teams in maximizing profitability. What will I be doing?Assist the corporate team in achieving food and beverage leadership in the hospitality industry Responsible for the Food and Beverage pieces of new development projectsWork with the AVP of Luxury Operations to develop and cascade a luxury culture of Food and Beverage across the portfolio of hotelsAct as the Food and Beverage partner to the AVP of Luxury Operations and the General ManagersAssist in long term strategic Food and Beverage planningOversee the Business Plan process for all managed Luxury propertiesPlan strategies and directions for managed outlets, evaluating them physically, conceptually, operationally and financiallySelect and utilize property(s) as beta sites for new initiativesAssess actual performance against standards to determine whether the department is on target to reach its goals and take corrective actions as necessaryParticipate with new ownership groups in the development of their projectsOversee the layout and design of all kitchens and barsPrepare, for new projects, O, S, & E pars, item recommendations, and order parametersReview and evaluate all major Food and Beverage capital projectsSupport and direct Luxury Hotels Food and Beverage teams relative to standards, training, recruitment, customer loyalty, revenue, leadership, succession planning, performance improvement and performance measurementProvide direction and directives to the Food and Beverage leaders in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities and in achieving management objectivesExecute directives of organization's mission, goals and objectives and demonstrate them through ongoing and direct motivation, communication, group dynamics and leadershipProvide operational support to the hotels in the fieldWork with Supply Management to implement Food and Beverage specifications as recommended by the Senior Vice PresidentImplement all corporate Food and Beverage policies, procedures, SPIs and SOPsTranslate organizational goals and objectives into performance standards for division, departments and individual positionsProvide analysis and support for under-performing Food and Beverage operationsImplement Food and Beverage specifications as recommended by the Senior Vice PresidentDirect the grouping, and assignment of, tasks while ensuring optimal allocation of resourcesManage the cross-functional links between Corporate Food and Beverage and hotelsEnsure appropriate talent is identified in compliance with department staffing plan Develop current talent to achieve greater strategic goals and performanceSupport Food and Beverage leaders in determining staffing needs and oversee the recruiting, selecting, hiring, training and developing of property level departmental Team MembersEnsure staffing guides are written to the business forecast and achieve balance between guest satisfaction and profit goalsWork with direct reports on goals to assist in accomplishing department initiatives, and their own career objectivesAssist in the recruitment and interviewing for all key positionsProvide input in the talent review process for all key Food and Beverage positionsWhat are we looking for?To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:BA/BS Bachelor's DegreeA minimum of seven (7) years of professional experienceA minimum of four (4) years of Director level experience Experience working in the Restaurant and Hospitality industryExecutive Chef experienceAbility to travel as required (50-70%)It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:A minimum of seven (7) years of Director level experience A minimum of seven (7) years of Hospitality (Food and Beverage, Catering or similar discipline) experience A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a Director of Food and Beverage A minimum of two (2) years of business development experienceWhat will it be like to work for Hilton?Hilton is the leading global hospitality company, spanning the lodging sector from luxurious full-service hotels and resorts to extended-stay suites and mid-priced hotels.
