Come and help us make health care better for everyone.Opportunity This position will support the delivery of large scale, complex, and often enterprise-wide projects involving cross-functional teams by managing activities including planning session preparation to ensure risk plans are in place to avoid and/or mitigate business risk and customer impact, identification and monitoring of program critical milestones and respective dependencies, ensuring high customer impacting issues are escalated as needed for expedited resolution, and completing root cause analysis for continuous improvement efforts. As a Sr. Program Manager supporting Blue Shield's Control Tower function, you will develop project plans to ensure events are coordinated across all areas of the enterprise working with business leaders across the organization. This position will play an integral role in ensuring that a quality, end-to-end customer experience is delivered where one exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Specific Responsibilities Include:Creates and reviews plans for own projects or for those managed by others.Monitors project milestone delivery and potential impact to cross project dependencies.Ensures risks have mitigation or contingency plans in place.Communicates with and influences stakeholders functioning in a matrix environment.Escalates issues appropriately as needed for expedited resolution.Develops project status dashboard reporting, monitors and reports on project status.Acts as a source of expertise for project management and business analytic needs.
