POSITION DESCRIPTIONArchitectural Woodwork Estimator REPORTS TO: Preconstruction ManagerPosition SummaryResponsible for estimating work predominantly in CSI Division 6, with an emphasis on Architectural Woodwork. Responsible for insuring that all quantity surveys and in-house raw material and factory fabrication costs are accurate and complete by:* Obtaining, calculating and compiling data for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates. * Preparing routine estimates under general supervision. * Maintaining current information on industry prices.Debrief the salesperson on the job and its elements, providing support in developing bidding strategies. Preferred Qualifications (in addition to minimum qualifications)Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent 5 years' experience estimating in commercial construction 5 years' experience pricing commercial Architectural Woodwork, including factory fabrication, material, and field labor costs Knowledge/Skills Excellent blueprint reading skills with an emphasis on Architectural, Interiors, & Structural Experience in all estimating phases of CSI Division 6 Architectural Woodwork Practical knowledge of commercial construction methods and application of principles Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent computer skills Ability to develop and maintain vendor relationships Minimum QualificationsEducation/Experience High School diploma or equivalent At least 5 years' experience estimating in the construction industry Knowledge/Skills Good blueprint reading skills Analytical and problem solving skills Detail oriented Good written and verbal communication skills Good organizational and time management skills Good computer skills Unsolicited resumes will not be considered.
