OverviewOpening is for the position on the staff of a not-for-profit, government management consultion organization headquartered in Tysons, Virginia. Position requires work performance at corporate and government offices in the Washington, DC metropolitian area.ResponsibilitiesParticipate on a team of analysts on multiple projects for government clients. Responsible for conducting cost estimating and analysis of acquisitions and programs and for assisting clients to understand the costs and resource impacts of their decisions. Initial duties may include: Collect and analyze acquisition and operating and support cost dataEstimate the costs of DoD acquisition and operating and support programs and initiativesDevelop cost models and estimating relationshipsAssist in the conduct of cost-benefit and business case analysesWork as part of a multi-disciplinary team composed of LMI analysts, other contractors, and government employeesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or similar discipline is required. Two (2) years of DoD experience required.Should be familiar with cost estimating and analysis principles and models, basic modeling and simulation principles, and basic operations research methods, particularly statistical data analysis. Ability to collect and normalize cost, technical, and programmatic data from Government and Industry entities; ability to analyze data and develop cost estimating methods and tools. Experience with COTS cost tools such as ACEIT, PRICE tools, SEER or similar software is a plus. Must be able to collaborate with others in project team-oriented environment, communicate complex analyses verbally and in writing, and develop innovative approaches to solving technical challenges. Must be available for periodic travel.
